I'll be honest, 'about' pages are as difficult to write as the blog posts. It's like whenever you're not staring at a box trying to think of something interesting to write, you can think of all sorts.

Instead, I'm wondering if sharing the fact I prefer Pepsi to Coke is interesting enough to go on here...¹

But fine, this is where I share a little more about me and the purposes of the site right?

What's with the name?

With regards to the Mattiverse URL, initially, this started as just a blog. I have since included a favourites page, thoughts page and a library page with plans to add more.

Given that it was becoming my own universe, calling it the Mattiverse seemed like a good idea.

Okay, what about the titles of the pages and the pun on matter or Matt(err) as I'm calling it...

I like the thought of using 'err' as to 'err' is to make mistakes and given my name is Matt. it seemed like a no brainer given my love of puns.

Mistakes are an important part of growth and so I want to be able to come to terms with them and perhaps even stumble on happy accidents that allow me to go in new directions.

Okay cool, anything else?

I mean, it's a personal site so I wouldn't be expecting the sort of valuable 'content' that has taken over the interwebs ².

I don't have any fancy awards to share, I'm not working on any projects that I can link to that showcase my fantastic skills.

What I can tell you to expect is unfinished ideas and thoughts, some insights into the many things I'm learning about and hopefully a bit of vulnerability that you find at least slightly charming.
