Thoughts:
The last book was a good at exploring Thorn's new status within the world (while also building up the lore of the world) and now the next step includes Velin which is great as you can explore their relationship and build on that without needing to branch off with different characters.
I do appreciate how well the characters are built and how this series seems to be giving each of them time to breathe and building them as an individual as well as how they fit into Thorn's group.
