do more for the fun of it
When it comes to earning money, we have to provide value in return, it’s a fact of life I suppose (well unless you earn enough to be able to live off the interest your money makes but that’s another story).
You know, I hate that everything has to be so transactional.
It’s probably what attracted me to a life of creativity, although that does suffer from the same thing. We seem so insistent that everything has to provide 'value', whatever that means. And, we're made to feel guilty if we even dare do something 'for fun' or because it seems interesting but has no other end goal other than that.
It's odd because I'd love to be able to make 'enough' based on being able to share the things I find interesting, fun and that seem cool for me to try and do.
Actually, I made a create page so that I could start putting down projects that seem interesting to me and that I don't have to think about monetising or providing 'value' with.
I suppose I'm saying I want to do more for the fun of it and it's sad that I have to voice that out loud.
