Thoughts:
Another excellent book, the pacing of these are very good and while I still think the characters are lacking a little depth, the story is intriguing enough for it not to be a big issue.
There has been very little of what I would consider filler and the fights have been good to read through.
My only other concern was that there was never any real explanation on the ranks or essence system, but I have picked it up as Iβve gone.
