Thoughts:
This was better, while the story didn't progress as much as I would have perhaps liked, this didn't feel like filler, this did feel a little more like filling in the gaps, particularly when it comes to the progression of the characters.
The urgency was still felt due to the main plot point and that was constantly kept in mind which helped to make the decisions make sense and understandable, all in all this may have been one of my favourites so far.
Roll on book seven, I'm now heading into the last third of the series.
