Welcome to the Mattiverse

this headache won't shift

I've always had the misfortune of suffering with migraines and headaches, they got particularly bad around 10 years ago which was when I was also diagnosed with glaucoma, thankfully I managed to get to a place where they didn't impact my life quite as severely as the 6-8 months around that time.

Lately though, I've had a persistent headache that will not go. The cause being stress and as much as I'd like to say I'm not stressed or that I can deal with stress fairly well, this is causing a lot of issues.

I consistently speak on my career and how much I am in flux when it comes to this, I need another job and yet this means I'm going to have to start again somewhere, which I hate the thought of. Alternatively, I could try and make something of freelancing or even of content creation, neither of which are 'quick fixes'.

This has led me to a start of paralysis, I don't want to make a move and risk losing what I've got, but what I've got is currently destroying me from the inside.

My partner is as supporting as ever and has helped no end with distractions and as a sounding board, but as with everything, it's my decisions, my efforts and ultimately all on me to fix this mess.

I'm not so lost as to think there isn't a way out, there undoubtedly is. I just need to get over the fear of change or the risk of going backwards before I can move forwards again.
